Titanic Reenactment
Here’s an frightening headline that accompanied a news story on the Toronto Star’s website: “Titanic replica to re-enact namesake’s ill-fated voyage in 2016, says Australian owner.” The thought of cruising has never appealed to me—I don’t want to go on any vacation that I can’t easily abandon if I’m not enjoying it—but that’s one cruise I definitely want to avoid.
Upon reading the article under the headline I learned that the said Australian owner expects the planned voyage to go all the way from England to New York. That’s hardly an precise reenactment, now is it? So much for historical accuracy.

Well, given the current state of the climate, where would they get icebergs?
Think of all the ice machines they’ll need.
Perhaps they could blast off large chunks of the Greenland icecap to create icebergs. Then they could pick a suitably sized one to tow into the path of the Titanic replica.
This would have an added benefit. If they are unsuccessful in their attempt to reenact the maiden voyage of the titanic and they, instead, reach New York, perhaps they will have raised the ocean level sufficiently such that they won’t have to pull up at a pier, but rather will be able to sail right into Manhattan.
